Digital Book Circle
During our Book Hangout ON AIR, I am joined by my colleagues Andrew Stricker, Bethany Blackwood and William Brown as we discuss the two books: Teach Like A Pirate by Dave Burgess and Flip Your Classroom by Jonathan Bergmann and Aaron Sams. We discuss specific passages that struck us as significant, what surprised us most about the book, what our main takeaways from the book are, what implications the readings will have for our teaching and learning and what ideas we will apply to our current context.
Teach Like A Pirate Storify
Enjoy my Storify that includes all my tweets while reading Teach Like A Pirate. I highly recommend the book to any educator looking to ignite passion in your classroom.
Tinker Tale #2
In Tinker Tale #2, I update my progress on playing with the new technology. I demonstrate Tweetdeck and Jing. I recorded the video using Screencast-o-matic. For the Deep Play Book Club, I chose Teach Like a Pirate, a book I have wanted to read for several months now.
Tinker Tale #1
Our Deep Play Group was formed from the common interests in blended learning through flipped and problem based learning. Bethany, Will, Drew, Delora and I will collaborate together as we learn through play. Enjoy my first Tinker Tale introducing what we have accomplished thus far.
